Once a mere overhang in the bowl wall, this arched stone enclave was deepened in aeons past by who-knows-what to provide shelter for injured dragons and their mates. Craggy walls loom high to dwarf rider and dragon alike, sloping back from the weather-open entrance to a low opening into the infirmary itself. Stacked under rock-shaded cover are low supply chests of sturdy timber, flanked with long tables. Other openings are shaded by wherhide curtains, leading to smaller, private caverns for the dragonhealers' patients.
It is an autumn midmorning.
Settled on rough-hewn ledge are Bansi, Bow-Wow, Donner, and Simbi.
Bronze Nylanth is here.
You notice Elehu asleep here.
Hiza comes into shelter from bowl's wide open spaces.
Reiko is sitting up in her cot now, the remains of what was apparently a rather generous meal still spread on a nearby table, scowling at something she's holding in her hands. Cerdith is still nearby, although he apparently doesn't feel compelled to wrap himself around her cot anymore.
Hiza takes one look around and almost gives a sigh of relief. None of these other people to be bringing gifts and making Hiza feel bad. Or something. A quiet, "Hey, Rei." Slight giggle at the rhyme and greenrider pads over. Since she doesn't know why Reiko is in here other then an 'accident', she doesn't know Reiko is under orders to eat. "How are you today?"
Reiko blinks, shifting her focus to fix an appraising eye on Hiza, her lips curling in a twisted halfsmile. "Morning, Hiza." Since Cerdith doesn't argue, she'll assume she got the time right. "Better, thanks." Enough better that she's beginning to chafe under the restrictions. Almost unconsciously, she begins shuffling the dragon poker deck in her hands... until she notices the motion and stops herself, laying them aside carefully.
Hiza grins, relief washing visably over her face, "That's wonderful to hear. It really is." Uncertantity(it was there, promise) seems to vanish, "How long did they say you're stuck here?" Tone conveys an added message: Not too much longer, I hope. "Oh.. n'sorry if Iss has been bugging Cerdith alot about how you two are doing." A faint flush at that, but she smiles, if a bit weakly. Yes, she's been stewing over this. Ahem.
Reiko shrugs a little. "I'm already allowed out... as long as I don't push it." Her expression darkens by a couple of shades. This vague instruction really annoys her. "And no weyrling exercises." She does look regretful about this, but it's more for Cerdith's sake than her own. Although the trilling warble from the blue does much to assuage her guilt. "He doesn't mind talking to Issryuith," she adds, passing along the unspoken comment.
Hiza laughs softly, eyes glittering softly, "Well, I've got a class to do... I hope you two are allowed to join us soon." A smile to Cerdith as well as Reiko, and fingers wiggle, spirits obviously lifted from, say, before. "Have fun." And this is given with a wink before Hiza slips out again.
Hiza leaves healers' enclave for the central bowl.
