Logs For Linora

Back Together? Sometimes adversity brings people closer. Sometimes guilt drives them apart. When you put them both together...
Linora looks back up from the floor, silent for a long moment. Wise or not, it's true, and she doesn't know what to say. So she falls back on something safe. "Wanna go get something to eat?" Not much above a whisper. Maybe if they just do something /normal/, things will seem all right again?

Homesick Linora is beginning to understand why Cress seems so different...
Linora swallows hard, starting to feel like she felt that day at High Reaches... the first day since she'd met Cress that he really seemed like a stranger to her. She hugs her knees tighter, and nods. "Must seem like they're really far away," she whispers. Kind of like she feels about Cress right now.

Commission? An Istan greenrider visits the StarCraft Hall on a very unusual errand...
Elle bobs her head vaguely, still glancing about the area, and not so much at the people now. "Sure." Eyes breifly focus upon the doors, then go wandering about again, "I need something. Apparently you people can posibly get it for me." At last, her eyes drop to peer quite intently at Linora, "I need stars."

Washing Imbriath When Hyzen and her green Imbriath stop by for a visit - and a bath - Linora is happy to oblige, but she can't quite get her mind off her problems...
Linora keeps scrubbing, although her hands are moving a little more slowly. She's /not/ sure what the problem is. And she's got a sneaking suspicion it's not the type of problem apprentices are s'posed to have anyway, so that might explain the somewhat guilty look about her. [...] "I just kinda feel like I lost my best friend, I guess," she mumbles, knowing even as she says it that it's more than that. But not sure how much more.

Forgiven. Can it really be, these two have finally found a place where they're both happy?
Linora keeps searching his eyes, losing herself a little more with each passing moment. "Y'know, that rule is so appies will concentrate on their studies and stuff," she whispers. "You been concentrating?"
Cress swallows hard, then shakes his head, just slightly, knowing that she'll see it. "No," he simply says. Studying had probably been the last thing on his mind this past month. "It's a stupid rule anyways."

At The Lake With Alexander And now for some comic (?) relief...
Alexander jumps and quickly buttons his fly. "Holy crap!" he yelps as he hears Linora behind him, and turns around. "Ah.. right.. thanks."

Reality Check An 'innocent' Turnday kiss leads to a bit more - but an unexpected interruption saves Lin from going too far...
Linora gives Cress a little halfsmile, chewing her lip slightly, before looking back at Alexander. Not that she doesn't like the kid, but... "Um. Yeah. Amazing." Or something. "What difference does it make?" she asks him. Whatever it was, they're sure not doing it anymore.

Another Morning After... ... and Linora's confused again. First Cress doesn't seem to want to be around her, then a random stranger pours his heart out to her, and finally a fellow apprentice gives her a Lesson Of Life.
Linora ohs. Well, she knows what it feels like to lose your best friend... or to think you had. "Sorry," she offers. Tired of shifting from foot to foot, she flops into a nearby chair. "So you're depressed and stuff? Maybe you oughtta talk to a mindhealer or something." She's heard that's what folks do. Not that she had, but she's only confused now, not really depressed.

Back To The Lake Another try, another loss... so Linora heads for Crystal Lake alone... and finally gets up her nerve to try swimming again.
Linora can't hide her disappointment, but deep inside she knows it's the right thing to do. Sigh. She nods once, slowly, and gets to her feet. The heavy charting book is carefully returned to its shelf, and she heads for the exit. Just inside the door she stops, just looking at Cress, chewing her lip. For a long moment she's silent, then... "See ya, I guess."

Another Dunking. Ready or not, seems Lin's going swimming, courtesy of her 'best friend' Kyrae.
Linora splashes into the water with a bit of a shriek. "No!" Her eyes are huge as she twists out of Kyrae's grasp. "I /said/ I didn't want to!" Well, she hadn't said she would, but she hadn't expected to be forced! She backs away from the other girl, not really minding that her clothes are wet but really looking a little frightened.
