Gar Gardens
You follow the cobblestone path through the gardens of Gar Hold. It appears to be well kept, as it is one of the favored spots of the Holder and his wife. Stone benches are set at regular intervals for people to sit and talk, especially young couples. Yellow, pink and white Camelia bushes are the focus of the gardens, with rose bushes and azaleas as accents. The grass is nice and soft, perfect for sitting or laying. The mixed scents from the bushes are strong enough to be noticed, but not overpowering, and perfectly delightful. The whole effect is very relaxing. One should come here more.
Off to the east side of the garden is a new addition. High walls of shrubbery and stone surround the maze and an iron gate stands open into an archway grown all over with climbing roses of every sort.
It is an autumn afternoon.
Admiring the reflection in the basin is Faerie.
You see Camelia Bush, Red Fruit tree, Raspberry Bush, Berry Bush, and Gooseberry Bush here.
Tierza is here.

Spray> Above, Aztereth glides down for a landing.

Tierza says, "Lin, hey.. what's up? Free from class rigors for a bit?" Smiles as she sits back from the bush she was just attacking. "Can't you any roses, can you? I need to prune these bushes back for the winter, and hate to waste 'em all."

Linora wanders into the gardens, her pack over her shoulder, headed for the maze... stopping abruptly when a bush addresses her. Blink. "Oh! Hey, Tie." She gives her friend a big smile. She tilts her head to regard the roses thoughtfully. "They'd prolly just die in the dorms," she admits. "Sorry..."

Idoru glides in from the Hold Field.

Tierza nods and sighs. "I figure they are going to die either way. Maybe the dorm is as good a place as any?" See, she really takes caring for these roses personally...

Jerrick walks in from the Hold Field.

Linora shrugs. "Ifya want. Prolly would brighten up the Vault and stuff." She walks over to the bush to help. Or just carry. Or something.

Jerrick
At just over medium height Jerrick is fairly tall and lanky. Thin. Almost a little too thin for comfort. Probably just a little more boning up to do. Yes, that could be. His brown eyes match his brown hair that comes down to his shoulders, but it's tied by cord to keep it out of his eyes. His skin bares a medium tan like he's seen the sun a good deal of the time as well as working indoor.
He wears a shirt that was probably at one time a brilliant dark green, but with many washes and hard work to it it's faded and has even taken on a brownish tinge to it, but it's long sleeved and loose. He also wears a pair of weyrhide pants and rough leather boots that come up mid-shin.
He is awake, but has been staring off into space for a minute.
Jerrick is 17 Turns, 4 months, and 13 days old.

Tierza notices Jerrick and smiles shyly.. but loads Lin's arms with cut branches and stems as if nothing else is important. "THanks Lin, I really didn't like to just leave them out here to die like that. And I already filled the Hold." Turning to Jerrick.. "Hi.. How are you today? Lin, you rememebr Jerrick..

Jerrick walks slowly over to Tierza after seeing her. He looks at the younger girl, noticing her knot and nods. He nudges Tierza to get her eye contact and starts signing and nodding over to Linora.

Spray> Elle dismounts from Larisseth, immediatly removing riding gloves one finger at a time. Kidskin gloves are tucked into a satchel upon the dragon's straps. With freed fingers stretching from being in a crampt postion, she glances about the area.

Char moves with slow, deliberate strides, a slight limp marring their fluidity, in from the Hold Field.

Linora isn't really looking at the roses piling up in her arms, her eyes fixed on Jerrick and widening as he seems to be talking about her. Or to her? Not that she understands a scrap of signing...

Spray> Kaltia finishes her page, pausing in the careful flipping of the pages to glance at the rider. Pushing herself carefully to her feet, wall used for support, she giggles. "Can I help you with something?"

Tierza says, "Jerrick askes me to say hello and good day. And not to worry about reading sign.. I can translate well enough..." stops as she spies the dragonrider. "Good day, Rider.. May we help you? Prehaps some roses?" Okay, not a brilliant comment, but that's what her arms are full of at the moment. "Or is there someone I can find for you?"

Char quicksteps her way through the gardens, arms swinging wide, a dangerous look of forboding on her face as she mutters all the way, her eyes cast about in obvious search. "Sharding greenrider. Asks me to accompany her and..." She pauses when she notes the trio. Hands planted on her hips in disapproval, she inquires, "Have you seen a greenrider come through here? Or.. heh.. /heard/ her? She's wearing the tightest leathers you ever did see."

Spray> "Possibly," rider muses as she comes about, green eyes landing upon the young woman. Elle cocks her head to the side, hands running down the lapels of her loosened riding jacket. "Starcrafter, I hope? You know, one of those people who know about stars and whatnot, whatever." Fingers move away to flutter with a trace of boredness.

Linora nods slowly, turning a smile to Jerrick. "Hey," she says... her usual greeting. Well, Tie /said/ he could hear just fine. Then she notices the 'rider's entrance and her eyes get all big again. Dumbstruck, she just shakes her head at the question. "Not t'day," she adds by way of qualification.

Jerrick turns to Tierza and starts signing again, frowning, rapidly gesturing to her and then turning back to the rider, looking curiously.

Tierza says, "Ummm, no... I'm afraid I haven't. But I was busy.." Indicates ehr arms full of the branches.. and Lin's and the ground.. "Maybe she went to the Harper or the dining hall?"

Spray> Kaltia blinks a few times, book carefully closed and set on the wall, the spine set on a relatively smooth portion to prevent damage. "Yes, a Starcrafter.... study the stars. Though I know a bit more about the planets then anything else." Giggling softly, she waves away her last statement with a flick of the hand. "But yes, I know about the stars."

Char shakes her head, scowling at the lack of information. "Shards and shells, that woman is more trouble than she's worth. I tried the Harper," she explains, bringing a hand up to mark off the numerous places she's looked. "I checked the orchards, the stables, the infirmary, the dining hall.. and numerous other places I can't even name. I've searched every last bit of this hold, beyond private rooms and haven't seen hide nor hair of her."

"Didja try the StarCraft Hall?" Linora shrugs, not even sure why she said it other than the 'rider didn't mention it in her list. "It's here at Gar, too."

Tierza says, "Well, have you tried the Mazes? I know them pretty well.. if you want me to escort you through them. I'm sure these two wouldn't mind joining in the hunt. Oh, I'm Tierza, assistant gardener here, at your service, dragonrider, Ma'am."

Spray> Elle takes a handful of steps from Larisseth, giving the dragon a loving pat as she moves away. Heavily, she bobs her head up and down, "Perfection. I need one of you, and I need a Baker. You happened to have seen one come through here recently? She is about yeh-tall, has this cute black and white hair. Prety hard to miss her."

Char pauses mid-tirade and regards Linora with a single lifted brow. "StarCraft? Haven't tried there.." she muses, her voice trailing off for a moment. Smiling as she considers this possibility, she offers a hand to the gardener. "Char, rider of blue Aztereth of Ista Weyr. And I think I wouldn't mind a little help, if you don't mind?"

Spray> Kaltia blinks, thinking it over. "A baker? I actually think I saw one... just caught the tail end of her as she was rushing by, though. But, why do you need one of us?" Riders, you never know with them... always something going on that Kal doesn't know about.

Tierza says, "Not at all.. To Starcraft or the mazes?" Wherever.. Natch would ahve her head on a wall if she wasn't polite to a dragon-rider, at any cost to the garden. "I am at your disposal."

Spray> "Personal reasons." And that is all Kaltia is going to get for now. Elle moves up towards the main doors, giving the young woman a wave in beconning.

Spray> Kaltia blinks, nodding her head slowly before noticing the wave, and, grabbing her book, heading towards the hall. "I'll help you find her, if you wish." She needs a break from studying anyway.

Linora belatedly remembers her manners. "Oh... sorry. I'm Linora, StarCraft ap... senior apprentice." Which is why she suggested the Hall, of course. She looks from Char to Tierza and back. Which way? And is her help needed to? Or will she be in the way?

Jerrick shrugs and decides he might as well go along with his disasterous quest. After all, he's the best listener out of all of them. He idly signs at Tierza.

Char thinks for a moment, regarding the silent gentleman. "I think we'll try the StarCraft, first. I doubt she'd go for the Maze.." She pauses, blinks, and then stares at Tierza. "You have a /maze/?" she asks, astonished. Clearing her throat and trying to hide her initial enthusiasm, she nods at Linora. "Yes, the Star Hall it is."

Linora grins. "Right this way." Of course, Tierza probably knows, too...

You call to Idoru, who flies over and lands on your shoulder.

Spray> Elle quirks her lips as she looks back at the crafter, "Yeah, I'll be needing you to help me with that too. I'd more than likely bungle into some master's chambers while he was changing." A sly grin touches her lips at this thought, "Then again, that might just be fun." A chuckle, and a lilting grin back to Kaltia, "You'd better lead me then. I might get into a bit of trouble. This is supposed to be a nice, quiet run."

StarCraft Courtyard
Where the hills of Gar meet the softer plains of the valley, rock slowly turns to gravel, dust and earth, leaving a large natural courtyard tucked against the walls of the hall. A low wall marks a boundary for the courtyard, rock and earth's battle for domination kept outside of it. Strong doors set in the hill wall, provide a new way to get into the hall, long windows letting light into the otherwise quite dark hall. They look out upon a grassy valley, filled with water, vineyards and herdbeast. Trails formed by the feet of human wind around rocks and trees, trailing off into the wilderness.
It is an autumn afternoon.
To the south, you see three people.
Stretched out on the low wall are Venusnv, Azrael, Etera, and Spray.
Green Larisseth is here.
You see Guinness and Anie here.
Kaltia and Elle are here.

Tierza walks in from the Hold Field.

Jerrick walks in from the Hold Field.

Char moves with slow, deliberate strides, a slight limp marring their fluidity, in from the Hold Field.

Linora blinks at the sight of Larisseth in the courtyard, then waves brightly at the people there. People she recognizes. "Hey, Kal. Hey, Elle... didja find someone t'paint for ya?"

Tierza nods to Char and smiles. "I believe you have found your errant rider. She certainly fits the description you supplied."

Kaltia giggles, shaking her head, amazed. "Well, it might be interesting... not sure how'd they'd react, but just the same. Any idea why she's here?" Heading towards the Hall entrance, she stops as the others appear.

Char flashes an appreciative grin at Tierza before scowling at the greenrider. "So /here/ you are. I thought you were here to get cider, not to pick up poor unsuspecting Starcrafters." She eyes Kaltia, assuming that's what the young woman is.

Elle hesitates upon the threshold to the starcraft's inner sanctums, glancing back at the sudden influx of people. Linora is spared a particularly interested gaze. She vaugely remembers that one. Ah, but attention moves to Char, "I seem to have lost my Baker in there somewhere." Greenrider gestures through the doors and into the crafthall.

Char's scowl deepens and she looks at those who have followed her from the gardens. "You brought Annalysa?" she asks, having recalled the Baker asking for a ride at the last moment. "I thought /she/ was here for cider, too?" Now the bluerider is confused.

You release Idoru, who launches into the air.

Tierza says, "Well, we do ahve the best cider on Pern, after all.... Did you want some perhaps?" Looks to the rider and then to Lin and Jerrick, and everyone else. May as make it a party. "Or anything else to drink, for that matter? We always have fresh juice or klah as well."

Kaltia turning around, she pauses, resting one heel up against the other leg, weight mainly supported by the courtyard wall. "Hey Lin..." Eyeing Elle, she blinks. "So she's your baker?" Oy, poor apprentice.

Linora shrugs, then grins. Apparently the meeting had made more of an impression on /her/ than on the 'rider! Well, she can still count on one hand all the dragons she's ever met. Anyhow.... "Well... I guess you found her and stuff." Obviously. She turns back to Tierza and shrugs. She probably should get to her chores...

Char smiles at the Gar gardener, and then follows Elle towards the StarHall entrance. "Perhaps after we find our errant Baker, I might have a bit to drink," she answers. "You /will/ join us, won't you?"

Elle takes a step over, blindly, as her gaze is instead upon Char, "Yeah. I needed to find a starcrafter." Oh, thats were she recalls Linora now. "And I found one." Hand reaches over to grip Kaltia's sleeve, claiming her.

Jerrick goes home.

Kaltia is claimed. Now that has got to be a first. Craning her neck around to stare at the hand, she rolls her eyes. Scary. "Um... perhaps she's inside? Most likely upstairs, if she has any idea where she is around here."

Char eyes Kaltia, assessing the young woman's person for a moment before scowling at Elle. "Is she all you could find?" she asks, blunt and to the point. She gestures at the door. "Let's get Annly and get to where we're supposed to be, shall we? I have a daughter waiting for me back home."

Larisseth sits back upon her hauches as her head turns this way and that to watch the conversation game toss back and forth from one group to the other. Tail flutters at the tip in draconic mirth. And her lifemate said this would be boring. *snort*

Tierza watches the converstaion between the two riders and grins, this is kinda fun.. "Shall I get that cider for you Weyrmaster Char? You could drink it here while you wait for the greenrider."

"Well, she just happened to be here when I came... that and I think she can help me find my Baker." Elle grips all the harder. Yeah, Kaltia is still hers. "And maybe a couple of cute master's rooms while we are at it." Handhold is released and immediatly Elle pipes up. She can just imagine what Char would say to that. "Kidding. Kidding..."

Kaltia blinks a few times, gasping indignantly. All she could find, indeed. Snickering quietly, she inclines her head quickly to the others in the courtyard before heading into the Hall. For sure this time. "Well, we can run and see if she's upstairs..."

Elle is right upon Kaltia's heels, "Lead on." Nope, she hasn't resigned to shirt-grabbing this time.

Char narrows her eyes at the greenrider and then smiles at Tierza, torn between following and accepting the cider--not wanting to be delayed too long from returning by losing Elle yet again. With a purse of her lips, she regards those remaining outside. "This the only way out?"

Tierza says, "Lin.. " sort of in a whisper.. "Do all dragonriders have their own bakers?" She looks puzzled, but refusing to let on that she has no clue what lunacy seems to be happening in front of her. "Or are you confused as well?"

Kaltia walks to the StarCraft Hall.

Tierza says, "To the Hold Field... Yes, this is it. But we have a lovely pond and fiels those two ways as well."

Elle saunters with the best of 'em to the StarCraft Hall.

Linora is definitely confused, but she's got it together enough to answer Char's question. "You can get t'the hold through the workroom inside, too," she says helpfully. But most folks don't do that.

Etera glides to the StarCraft Hall.

Char scowls at Linora's reply. "Shards," she swears and then starts after the greenrider. "I'd best not let her get out of my sight, then." She grabs Linora. "You obviously know your way around the Hall. You're coming with." She glances at the others. "Anyone else?" She doesn't wait for an answer, though, before heading into the Hall.

Char moves with slow, deliberate strides, a slight limp marring their fluidity, to the StarCraft Hall.

Tierza walks to the StarCraft Hall.

The Vault
No more than a hideaway amidst the gothic grandeur of the StarHall, this cozy lounge is a place of laughter if not greatness, warmth if not splendour. The close stone walls are insulated with tapestries of all shapes and sizes, most a little worn, several faded and a good many depicting scenes from childhood stories. The mismatched chairs and sofas are in a similar state, rescued from cellars and rubbish-heaps but perhaps more softer and more comfortable for that, scattered in a rouch circle on a hardwood floor. A low round table in the centre of the room holds cards, discarded hides, mugs, and a pot that holds klah as long as someone remembers to fill it. The one window at the back wall lets light and air into the warm, cozy room.
Scattered troughout the rooms are numerous glowbaskets. Thin hides, that would be transparant if they weren't coloured in light shades of red green and blue cast a colourfull and happy athmostphere troughout the room. Small bells and sticks, hung near the window, create soft, eerie yet comfortablly soft sounds,

Linora is dragged in, looking a little bewildered. "Hey again, Kal... um... everybody."

Annalysa spins around to find, Everyone she was looking for. She grins and turns to Tstar, then back to Char and Elle. "This dear little Starcrafter agreed to help me carry my things!!" She grins back at Tstar. "These are the riders who are going to fly my things home." She nods, as if thrilled that finally, after hours of wandering everything is coming together!

Elle steps forward, glancing here and there at the unfamiliar surroundings. Ohh, so this is where the Starcraft keeps all their deep, dark secrets. Like exactly what they do with those distanceviewers of theirs, besides looking up at the sky. "My Baker should be --There you are Annalysa. How on Pern did you get up here?"

Char leans up against some nearby prominence as she enters the room, breathing somewhat heavily after her hasty flight up the stairs and favoring one leg. "M.. not.. letting you.. out of my.. sight.." she says to the greenrider. She then notes Annalysa's presence and greets her with a scowl. "So /here's/ where /you/ got to."

Tierza says, "Well, if we have found your Baker, perhaps you would now like that cider before you must leave?" She /did/ offer after all and it is right down the stairs and across the courtyard to the Harper. "Or I can bring a skin, as I mentioned."

Tstar nods and moves towards the door, starting at the sudden deluge of people. "Ma'am, I was just going to show her back to the kitchens. I believe she got a little lost. It is very easy to do. StarHall and Gar are rather large." Then back to Annalysa. "If you would, the Kitchens are on the lower level, Gar side." Her voice is more formal than it has been.

Kaltia giggles, nodding as the baker is found before glancing out the door at a hushed whisper, nodding to the others. "I'm sorry, but I have to do something for Journeyman Koi." Slipping out the door, she waves to the others. "Hope everything works out."
Kaltia walks to the Main Hall Balcony.

Linora looks around some more, still not sure what's going on. "Bye Kal..." Turning to look after her, then turning around again to face the others in the room, feeling rather like a top. Well, definitely dizzy. "You still need my help?" She's certainly willing, if she's needed...

Char looks from Tierza to Tstar and then on to Annalysa before regarding Elle with lips firmly pressed together. "Well, is the kitchen where we can get that cider, or do we have to go elsewhere for that?" she asks.

Annalysa nods.. and smiles. "Oh.. yes. We'll be down in a moment. Let me just reassure these riders that I haven't completely lost my senses." She grins, places her hands on her hips and turns back to Elle. "YOUR baker?" She wrinkles her nose, and peers at Char. "I was simply looking for a willing apprentice to help me carry things.. since i wasn't sure i could count on you two." She grins, the peers. "Why do you have a parade following you?"

Tierza says, "You best go to the Harper for cider. But if you want to just take it with you, I can bring a skin to you in the courtyard. I believe you said you were in a bit of a hurry?"

Elle gasps and makes a lunging grab for her claimed Starcrafter, only to have her slip out the door. "Fardles!" *pout* Greenrider saves an indulgent smirk at Char, then quickly glances over the crafter pickings. Annalysa's cry is glossed over, for the time being. Eyes quickly scan...."I need another one..."

Tstar arches an eyebrow and nods, waiting by the door for Annalysa, and eyeing the riders dubiously, would they be helping or hindering? Hard to tell just yet. "Whe ever you're ready ma'am. I will be just out side."

Char turns to regard her followers and gestures at each, "This is Tierza and Linora, and they've been very helpful in finding you and Elle, both of whom seem to have forgotten why we're here. I offered to have a drink with them." She glances at Tierza, brows furrowing. "This cider isn't alcoholic, is it?" she asks, finally wondering what Elle wants with it.

Tstar walks to the Main Hall Balcony.

"Kitchen's right off the Harper." Linora is just full of helpful suggestions. "An' yeah, the cider's alcoholic." She knows, she can't have any.

Elle chuckles in Char's direction. Need she even ask... she mentioned the most important word.

Elle saunters with the best of 'em to the Main Hall Balcony.

Tstar is waiting, as she said she would, just out side the door. She's in no great rush, her scrolls can most /definitely/ wait! She tries to remain at least relatively straitfaced, just in case they follow imediately. An odd conversation... amusing, but very definitely odd.

Spray> Char sighs, pressing her hand against her forehead as she shakes her head. "I should've guessed." She smiles at Tierza. "Well, if you have anything else to drink, I'll have some of that."

Char moves with slow, deliberate strides, a slight limp marring their fluidity, in from the The Vault.

Annalysa strides gracefully in from the The Vault.

Diena walks delicately in in from the The Vault.

Diena walks delicately in to the Staircase.

Spray> Tierza says, "Well, this way then Weyrmaster.." And smiling, leads the way out... "But we have wine and juice, of course..."

Tierza walks in from the The Vault.

Char grins at Annalysa. "She seems to be good at that," she responds to something said back in the other room. Folding her arms across her chest, she regards Elle with a hint of annoyance. "Well? What're you standing around for?"

Tierza says, "Lin, you joining us at the Harper?"

Elle doesn't quite glare at Char, instead she goes childish and sticks out her tongue. "Because I have no idea where I am or what I'm doing any more. I might get lost and get into.... trouble." Eyes open alarmingly huge in mock fright.

Linora was waiting. But she snaps to attention at Char's tone, just in case she's included in 'you'. Meep. Tierza gets a quick nod, then she looks back at the riders. "You still need t'go to the kitchens?"

Tstar chuckles. "I could show you where it is... though I do believe your companions may know." This directed at Elle. They might know but who knows what might happen today. "But what about the baker's things? She asked my help in getting them." Though sh'es currently not in sight.

Char's nose wrinkles in distaste and then she lets out a weary sigh. "Well, we still need cider, though I can't imagine what Elle would want with it." Actually, she could, but she's not about to state that.

Tierza sneaks her hand to her mouth, but not quite smothers the chuckle. Elle may not know about the cider, but obviously Char did hear her comment about it's amorous capabilities.

"Yes, the kitchens... onward." No she remembers another portion of the reason she was here. Cider, Baker, and a Starcrafter. "Annalysa is probably just getting some of her stuff secured on Larisseth." Elle's eyes land on Tstar, "Do show me."

Linora starts down the stairs - the obvious next move, the one that nobody's making for some reason. Kitchens or Harper, it's all downstairs.

Tierza walks to the Staircase.

Elle saunters with the best of 'em to the Staircase.

Char gestures for Tstar to lead the way before threading an arm through Elle's. "We'll follow you." She grins at the greenrider and explains. "I told you. I'm not letting you out of my sight."

StarCraft Main Hall
The vaulted Great Hall of StarCraft possesses a grandeur that belies its recent construction. Built to inspire the mind to look upward, smooth columns support the Gothic arches of the ceiling. The Hall runs on an East-West axis, with the heavy doors of the main office to the west. To the north and south other doors lead to various work areas. Staircases at the corners of the hall lead up to a balcony that wraps around the three sides of north, south, and west.

Linora points at the workroom. "Ifya don't wanna go back outside, you can go through there," she points out. And it's shorter, too. But most folks still go around...

Tstar strides down the stairs and slips into the Gar Workroom beconing them to follow her. Christinya gets a nod and a half smile. "This way." She nodds to Linora. "Most do, unless they've lived here for a while."

Elle abruptly finger her arm ensnared with Char's. "Shells, Char, I didn't know you cared." *snicker*

Tierza says, "i tend to use the workroom, but I think it's the Garish in me. I'm not Starrie.."

Workroom
Off the main hallway, the workroom glows with both light and activity. Several trestle tables, set up in parallel lines allow for all sorts of tasks: at one, wooden pieces sit in disarray, waiting to be assembled. At another supplies sit waiting for a new project. Off to the left is a cluster of chairs, each with a brightly colored pillow. If needlepoint or weaving is your desire, another corner hosts a small floor loom and chest of threads. On the right lies another table, this time with juices and glasses to reward hard work well done. At times, children play happily nearby, pulling toys from an oversized trunk. The black and white marble used to create a checkerboard pattern on the floor has been highly polished recently. The windows near the ceiling bring in filtered light and help vent the room to keep it cool, even in the heat of Ista's summers. Popular as a meeting place for both the young and young at heart, you'll always find something to do - it is, after all, a workroom.

Spray> Tierza laughs at Elle.. and stifles it when she sees Char's icy glare.. "Umm, this way, ladies..."

Spray> Char clears her throat. "Hold up, folks. I don't mind a nice walk outside. Do you, Elle?" she asks the greenrider with an oh-so-sweet smile.

Linora comes back, confused that nobody followed.

Elle starts to trail off in the direction that Linora had gone. "But.. but... there are probably all kinds of glossy, sweaty working men over there." Alas, with her arm and Char's connected, she finds herself being led away.

Tierza says, "not me.. I love the outdoors...." Looks even more confused, but what the hey.. if that is what she wants... "Fine."

Char gestures at the doorway. "I think not. I'm not going to have you getting sidetracked." She tugs at the greenrider's arm and smiles over her shoulder. "Besides, I think I have a confused lifemate waiting on the other side of that door and I would like to apprise him of the situation in person... if you don't mind?"

Char moves with slow, deliberate strides, a slight limp marring their fluidity, to the StarCraft Courtyard.

Linora shakes her head, then nods, then just stands there for a second. "Um... okay..."

Elle saunters with the best of 'em to the StarCraft Courtyard.

Tstar walks in from the StarCraft Main Hall.

Diena looks around, amazed at all the activity. She quickly forgets about her conversation with the drudge.

Tierza walks in from the StarCraft Main Hall.

Tstar follows them out, from this point she's most likely along for the ride until they tell her what they want her to do. Or the baker returns to tell her where she has her things. She hovers, a faint smile pulling at the corners of her mouth, quoth alice curiouser and curiouser.

Elle pouts as she comes outside. "Well, just have him make do... I.. but..." A longing glance is cast back inside the hall. "Shells." Larisseth lifts her head, which had previously been coyishly titlted Aztereth-wards. She croons a welcome to her lifemate, lilting it enough almost to sound like a question.

Tierza says, "It's a lovely sunset.. isn't it?" Feeling the odd tension all around, what else but talk about the weather? "I love Autumn. It's probably my favorite season."

Aztereth
Patchwork shades of sky blues and ceruleans cover a scrawny form of sharp muscles and distinct flexure. Indigo streaks in jagged lines across his pointed head, over sinew-like muscles, and down to a thick, spaded tail. Gangly forelimbs, highlighted in various shades of turquoise, meld into a broad chest, indigo reappearing to mark hide in a spread-eagle design. Darker harper blue flows from haunches to the ridges of thin limbs, while a diamond-shaped head looks to have been hand-chiseled, pyramid headknobs crowning swirling indigo. His reed-like neck leads into prominent shoulder blades; slightly curved wingspars shine with a dim royal blue. Sharply angled joints stud those spars, holding flimsy sails of stormy, swirling clouds in check.
The sheen of oil plays along the broken calico coloring of patchwork straps, each mismatched piece supported by a heavy helping of multicolored wherry down to reduce friction between hide and leather. A triple stitch marks the joints where the most stress is placed, securing the straps against the cold of between.
Aztereth is 9 Turns, 6 months, and 12 days old.
He is 54 feet (16m) long, with a wingspan of 90 feet (27m).
Aztereth seems to be listening.

Aztereth rumbles friendly-like at the green and then suddenly straightens in attention at the emergence of the people, his lifemate included. He wasn't flirting with the green, really.

Larisseth
Silver-green sage shimmers over the slender form of this petite young dragon, dripping languidly down her neck from beneath a delicate head crowned in olive. Her underbelly gradually fades to a pale, sedate green-veined marble, while her wings appear to simply be carved from gleaming malachite, accented by a minty copper patina. Her movements are quite slow, from the calculated swishing of her extra-long tail to her ponderous, relaxed stride.
The glory of a glowing green seems to eminate from this green. Ah, proddiness is a wonderful thing.
Flash fuschia encompases the silver-sage neck, bedecked with wine-rose stitching in an attractive pattern, the bright colors complimenting the green of her hide. Tiny reflecting metal pieces have been painstakingly sewn with elegant lime and orchid stitches onto the bright fuschia, each one reflecting the avid green of Larisseth's hide. Rich magenta caresses at the edges of each strap, abruptly interrupted by highly polished silver buckles, mirror-like in their reflectiveness. Tangerine stitches edge each length of the supple leather, creating a cheery contrast to the magenta and flashy pink.
Larisseth is 14 Turns and 12 days old.
She is 48 feet (14m) long, with a wingspan of 80 feet (24m).
Larisseth seems to be listening.

Char shoots her lifemate a dark look before unlacing her arm from Elle's. "Confused, indeed. /Now/ I know why you had to follow me over here," she scolds the blue as she makes her way down to his side.

Tierza says, "Oh!.. They are both so beautiful! I have always enjoyed dragons..." And now, here are two for her to stare at... And such beauties too. "You are both /very/ lucky...."

Linora shifts from foot to foot, unable to keep still for very long in the best of situations. She's perfectly happy to hang out in the courtyard... or not... she'd just like to know what's going on...

Diena looks around "Do you guys know these dragons?" she asks, more to Linora

Tstar can't surpress a chuckles at the dragon's expression, then quirks an eyebrow at Teirza. "Thy ride them, Diena." She calls to her fellow apprentice. "And if you're not careful you might get drafted too, they're picking up a baker." though she is, currently, not in evidence.

Tierza says, "Ah, but that cider... "

Larisseth leaves off blue-staring and then lifemate watching as her attention trains to the crowd that seems to be trailing after her Elle. Body lifts so that she once more sits back upon her haunches, tail thwapping slowly upon the ground. Nostrils quiver and head cocks to the side.

Diena chuckles "I dount the dragons would want me.. I'm just a boring starcrater." She looks back and forth respectfully.

Char laughs at the response to her lifemate's presence and gives the blue a good scritching as she points out, "There. You have adoring crowds, love. Just what you've always wanted." However, the blue doesn't even reply with a snort, his attention, too, on the members of the crowd trailing after his Char.

Linora looks from one dragon to the other, suddenly aware of their scrutiny. With a shrug and a grin she moves to sit on the low wall. Why stand? She's not even sure why she's still there...

Tierza says, "Do either of them mind scritching from strangers? I have never had a chance to before. Just my little guys...." Not a little excited, huh? Oh sure, she has ridden and played with one, but to scratch and be close and all.. "I don't want to presume or anything..."

Elle moves to smooth down the front of her rumpled jacket and then quickly runs her fingers through tossled hair. "Shells, Char, I didn't know you could set me to such chaos." A mischevious grin follows as the greenrider lurches t'wards Larisseth, still a touch off balance. Eyes make sure most of Annalysa's things are attatched to Lari's straps, before the rider swings about. Or actually, it seems that way to Elle. Instead, Larisseth lifts and moves from her place to lumber closer to the crowd, neck snaking forward.

Tstar moves back, away from the dragon, just enough to guarentee she deosn't get accidentally knocked over. "You're bolder than I am, Tierza, much much bolder! I'd never dream of asking!" But her eyes reflect the curious interest of those around her, she's just not quite so forcefull about it.

Tierza eyes the green as it approaches and waits. Nope, she won't run... but she is not about to amke any sudden moves toward her either. Just waits for an okay from the rider and the dragon..

Not to be outdone, Aztereth pulls away from Char's touch to approach those nearing. He shoves his muzzle into Tierza's hands and the bluerider laughs. "He says you can scritch him anytime you like," the woman answers the gardener's question. Then her expression falls into deep thought. "Hey, Elle. We're on Search, aren't we?"

Larisseth scuttles closer to the crowd. But, what the dragon defines as 'scuttles, any person would note as galloping. Olive-crowned green dips her head, muzzle leading the way t'wards one of Elle's previously noted Starcrafters. Elle peeps under Lari's tummy to Char, "Are we?" Larisseth, meanwhile, has taken to sniffling quite nosily. Nothing worse than a dragon with the sniffles. *snork-snork-snork*

Tierza says, "Really? I can?.." She grins as the blues muzzle is shoved in her hand.. "He feels so warm, it's wonderful.." She happily scratches him, just above his mouth and along his ridges, right where Copper likes his scritches.." Look at me Lin!"

Char nods to the greenrider and then approaches the Gar Gardener. She smiles at the woman, bringing a hand to rest on her lifemate's shoulder. "Like dragons, do you?" she asks.

Coer blinks in from ::between::!

Tierza says, "I always have... but I never said.. well, my family... anyway.. .. He's amazing... and she is too..." she can't really speak, she is too happy right now, playing with Az.. Spoken softly, "I do love 'em.."

Linora grins as the blue dragon shoves his muzzle into Tierza's hands. Fun. Wait, did someone say Search? Hm... "Tie?!?" Now, what's Larisseth doing...?

Dart blinks in from ::between::!

Tstar arches an eyebrow search? She shrugs it off, but moves a little closer eys flickering to the gardener, curious. "Half a mark on it..." She mutters making a bet with herself as she watches the faces of both gardener and rider.

Dart flitters around, looking to see if he can land on one of the dragons. He chirps excitedly.

Char chuckles, nodding as she exchanges a glance with her lifemate. "How would you like to have one of your own? Aztereth seems to think you'd make a great rider," she answers.

Larisseth comes up with something. Middle distends as she takes a deep breath, dragging t'wards her nostrils a wealth of red-gold hair. That would be Tstar's red-gold hair. Elle comes forward, quirking a glance at Lari and then at Tstar, immediatly dropping her hands to her hips. "Oh... don't tell me..." That would be directed to the dragon.

Tierza says, "Wha..???? Me??? Oh, you mean the Starrie.." her face falls, but she tries not to look too diasappointed. It's alright, she has one to scritch now, what else matters? "I'm sorry, I thought you meant..."

Bully blinks in from ::between::!

Char quirks a brow, frowning at the gardener in front of her. "If I'd meant her, I'd be talking /to/ her," she retorts and then forces herself to smile again. "You see, Quarith just left a fine clutch of eggs on the sand, 29 in all, and Aztereth seems to think you would look good in white dancing on those hot black sands."

Tstar arches an eyebrow at Tierza. "I think she's talking about you..." Her? On a dragon? her tone indicates she finds the idea rather... rediculous. She notes the green's look and returns it, now, at least, she has an excuse to stare! the dragon started it.

Tierza says, "Oh!!." She seems to be speechless.. Tie, no words???? Hah, wouldn't her brothers like to see that.... "I, um, Oh yes please!"

Elle continues with this fists-on-the-hips stance as she looks from dragon to crafter and back again. At first looking a touch annoyed. "Well, it looks like I'm getting my Starcrafter... one way or another." Abit of a grin touches her lips as she nods to Tstar, "When Larisseth finds someone she likes, she tends to sniff them. And you have been most thoroughly sniffed, crafter. Want to spend some time up at Ista Weyr as a candidate for the clutch on our sands?"

Char chuckles, giving her lifemate another pat on the side as the blue rears back on his hind legs and bugles triumph to the skies. "Yes, yes, love. You found her," she replies to the blue's joy. "I'll give you enough time to gather some things, and you can meet me in the Gar courtyard, if you like?"

Tierza says, "Lin? what do I do?" She is whispering to her friend in a stunned kind of voice...still staring at the dragons and the riders. "help me ehre..."

Tierza looks at Tstar and grins.. "You too? I bet I'm back faster!.." Okay, she is moving now. "Thank you Weyrmaster, thank you!"

Tstar starts, and stares at Elle for a beat as if not quite believing her ears. Her mouth opens, nothing comes out. She frowns, closes her mouth and tries again, this time with more success. "I would be most honored..." Formality, covers shock, and a grin starts to spread accross her face.

Char frowns as she realizes the title she's been given by the gardener. "Weyrlingmaster, Tierza.. and I'm only an assistant... Hurry!" she shouts after the newly Searched candidate.

Diena's jaw drop yet again. Tsar is leaving? With dragonriders. She smiles and cheers quietly for the girl.

Linora shrugs. "Pack?" She's about to offer to help, but seems like Tierza's halfway across the courtyard already. She sprints off after her... sure, the chores can wait a bit longer. Not every day your friend gets Searched, eh?

Tierza says, "yes Ma'am.." There , easy way out of all those confusing (for now, ahe promises herself) titles. "I'll be right back..."

Spray> Tstar nods as well snapping to almost attention before moving out with a quick. "I'll be right back. I have very little to bring." Her pace is quick, and getting quicker. Would running be innappropreate?

Spray> Elle reaches a hand over to rub along the line of Larisseth's jaw, a vain attempt to keep the dragon from sniffing the hair right off Tstar's head. "Good. Now, seeing as Larisseth has found you, she won't let you out of her sight 'til we get to Ista. But I think I can hold her off long enough for you to nip on up to your dorms or wherever it is you crafters go and pick up a few things, lets your superiors know so I don't get branded a kidnapper. Hopefully, Lari here, won't follow after you."

Spray> Bully suddenly disappears ::between::!

Spray> Tstar walks to the StarCraft Hall.

Spray> Tstar walks in from the StarCraft Main Hall.

Spray> Char watches Tierza trot off to the Hold and then turns to her lifemate with a slightly annoyed look. "You /would/ have to Search someone while I'm trying to get something done," she scolds the blue and then grins, scritching him under the chin. "You did well. C'mon. Let's meet her in the courtyard like we said we would."

Spray> Tierza returns, carrying a small bag and all her firelizards. "I hope adding four more to the weyr won't be a problem?"

Spray> The recently searched Tstar wasn't gone all that long, but Larisseth sure seemed to think so. The green dragon rumbles a most delightful croon as the starcrafter returns. She would have hoped right on up to the girl, if not of a quick, unspoken word from Elle.

Tstar returns a small pack over her shoulder the grin still on her face along with a faint hint of disbelief. This is really happening, right. She glances at Tierza. "Make it eight." She says pointing to hers which trail after her. Ivana and Nova chittering at each other imperiously.

Copper blinks in from ::between::!
Tierza calls to Copper, who flies over and lands on her shoulder.

Char returns when she sees Tierza walking their way anyways. She smiles at the Gar gardener and then holds her hands out for the woman's things. "Are you ready, then?"

San blinks in from ::between::!

Tierza says, "As I'll ever be, I guess. Oh, what About Natch? I guess I can send her a note..." Handing her bag to the rider. "I hope Dany isn't too mad about the roses and berry bushes.." So, she's in shock, she entitles. "Lin, will you tell Dany I'm sorry?"

Elle's eyes open up in alarm, "Eight?" She glances to Char, then back to Tstar. "Have you everything? We'll have to move out of here before taking off. There isn't enough room for Larisseth to get a good wingspread. That and I doubt you all want talon-scratches marring your yard."

Tierza says, "Oh, don't do that.. then I /know/ Dany will never forgive me!"

Linora nods. "Sure, Tie." She can't suppress a grin at Tierza's worrying. Dragons wouldn't make a mistake about something like Search, would they?

Tstar chuckles. "Her four, pluss my four." She elaborates, then checks over everything. Yup that's it. "I have everything..." She affirms. "And I left a note for my mentor letting him know where I vanished to."

Char groans when she realizes that their discussing firelizards. "Just what we need," she replies scornfully. She takes Tierza's things and attaches them securely to Aztereth's straps and then offers Tierza a hand up. "You ever ridden before?"

Tierza sighs at Tstar's comment about the note.. she knows she should have done that already...

Tierza nods and smiles. "A few times.. with K'shaw from Ista Weyr, actually." Grabbing Char's hand, she mounts and settles herself between neckridges. At least she did have enough sense to dress as warmly as she could.

Larisseth keeps an eye on Tstar. She goes so far to have a sneaking tail wander in Tstar's direction. All the better to keep you with, my dear. But, Elle intervenes. "Here, let me fasten your stuff to Lari's straps." An aside to the dragon, "She won't escape if we've got her things, love."

With the assistance of a proferred foreleg, Tierza ascends the lofty height of Aztereth's neck to settle comfortably twixt sky imbued neckridges.

Char chuckles, shaking her head as the greenrider deals with her finicky lifemate. "Good luck, Elle. I'll see you back at the Weyr." She salutes her fellow and then mounts.
With the assistance of a proferred foreleg, Char ascends the lofty height of Aztereth's neck to settle comfortably twixt sky imbued neckridges.

From Aztereth's neck, Tierza says, "Lin.. I'll be in touch.. ride Sunny for me!"

Linora starts backing away, feeling distinctly in the way. Tierza doesn't need her help anymore, and the dragons hadn't wanted her. "Bye, Tie," she calls out cheerfully. "Try t'write and stuff." Or something. "So long Tstar." Just met her, and she's leaving. Well, Alex will be relieved.

Tstar offers Elle her things. They're light, she's only got one bag and her belt knife. "I'm not going to run away, I promise." She says to the green, directly. "You're stuck with me for a bit."

From Aztereth's neck, Char secures her own straps first and then makes sure that Tierza is firmly buckled in before giving her lifemate a slight mental nudge in search of a place to take off.

Elle starts to leave the courtyard, Larisseth lumbering along behind her with an eye to Tstar. Greenrider notes Linora, "One of these times I'll come here to drag /you/ off to my Weyr to finish that star scene for the ceiling."
